Festival of Lights Celebration -- Rockland
Santa arrives by Coast Guard boat at the public landing in Rockland. Other events include open houses at historic inns, tree lighting ceremony, Downtown Parade of Lights, family pancake breakfast with Santa, children's activities, Santa's Workshop, Gallery Night, horse-drawn carriage rides, Santa's mailbox, carolers, special events. Location: Downtown Rockland. Time: Varies each day.
Christmas by the Sea Ogunquit Maine
The Annual Christmas by the Sea Celebration in Ogunquit includes a celebration of tree lightings, caroling, a chowder and chocolate fest, beach bonfire, entertainment, shopping and of course, Santa Claus. Don’t forget to stop by the craft fair for that perfect holiday gift. Location: Downtown Ogunquit. Time: All day. Cost: Free.
Christmas by the Sea -- Camden Maine
Camden's Christmas by the Sea is a weekend celebration of the holiday season. Shopping, musical entertainment, a parade, a community tree lighting ceremony, and horse-drawn wagon rides are only part of the festivities.
Christmas Prelude Kennebunkport Maine
The celebration begins with a fine arts and crafts show, a fish chowder supper, a tree lighting at Dock Square in Kennebunkport, and the lobster trap tree lighting in Cape Porpoise. Over the next nine days visitors can experience art gallery receptions, historic walking tours, ten Christmas craft fairs, a holiday hat parade, music concerts, caroling, public breakfasts, trolley rides, a holiday dessert and art show, children's movie night and open houses at historic inns.
Festival of Trees Boothbay Harbor Maine

Festival of Trees Saco Maine Dozens of magnificently decorated trees and wreaths, as well as artist-designed ornaments and stockings, will fill the galleries of the Saco Museum. Ornaments, stockings, and silk table arrangements will be on sale throughout the festival. Location: 371 Main Street
A Longfellow Family Christmas -- Portland Maine
Tour the Longfellow House at Maine Historical Society and experience a traditional Christmas of the 1850s. The house will be decorated and open for tours daily. Following the house tour, guests are invited to enjoy children's activities and the annual Holiday Book and Gift Fair (opening December 6) next door at the Maine Historical Society.
